An important update regarding the proposed development of the Private 5G Market in India.
For now, Enterprises/Corporates have to rely on Telcos for their Private 5G Network spectrum needs. They will be given the option to lease spectrum from Telcos.
Certainly, it's a piece of news to cheer up the Indian Telco market.
While we talk so much about openness in RAN, TMForum APIs, 5G Core SBA, OSS, BSS, Standards, etc., a similar approach needs to be given thought for the Spectrum Allocation for a "True Open" 5G Network.
Understanding private 5G networks and their regulatory landscape is essential for enterprise and telecom professionals. My book "The 5G Core: Architecture and Functions Explained" covers network slicing, private networks, and the integration of 5G with enterprise use cases.
